Narc Ranger™ is priced like a color-test program. Our team can help you find grant funding to cover it.
Narc Ranger combines Raman spectroscopy, field-ready hardware and software tools to turn complex molecular analysis into a simple field workflow for law enforcement.
Raman spectroscopy analyzes the molecular characteristics of a sample without consuming it. For law enforcement, that enables rapid field identification while helping preserve the sample for additional analysis when required. Narc Ranger is designed to bring that capability into a portable, easy-to-use field system.

Some heavily dyed samples, cutting agents and fluorescent street mixtures can generate background fluorescence that makes the Raman signal more difficult to resolve. This can be a challenge for traditional 785 nm Raman technology.

Narc Ranger™ FS uses an advanced 828 nm laser engine with ECLIPSE Technology™ to suppress color fluorescence and extract the Raman signal. The technology is designed for difficult samples where fluorescence can interfere with traditional Raman identification.
The analytical technology is sophisticated. The field workflow is intentionally simple.

Place the sample in the test chamber and choose Identify.
The system performs the analysis hands-free where supported by the model.
Identification results are displayed in 60 seconds or less.
Raman spectroscopy can analyze many substances through appropriate clear packaging, helping reduce the need to open or physically handle the sample. Packaging material, sample composition and other conditions can affect performance.
Kitchen Compare™ supports comparison of cutting-agent matches between samples, providing investigators with an additional data point when evaluating possible relationships among tested materials.
Narc Ranger systems support report generation and data export. Narc Ranger™ FS also automatically captures images during sample placement and testing; relevant images can be included with emailed reports to document the sample associated with the reported result.
